I teach a slow and gentle hatha yoga based on the Hridaya style. It is a heart-centred practice that is gentle, intuitive, and rooted in acceptance and compassion for the body. Throughout the practice, I encourage students to close their eyes to become more aware of their internal experience; particularly the activation of the chakras. I also use techniques from meditation traditions and pranayama to help quiet the mind. Students experience how it feels to witness thoughts, emotions, and sensations instead of identifying with them.
